2 December 2004 – London (UK): The Federation Against Software Theft (FAST), the world’s first software anti-piracy organisation, has appointed general manager of Computer 2000’s software division Richard Hales to its board.

Computer 2000 has been a member of FAST for several years, and Hales brings to the position 20 years of experience in working with the software reseller community.

John Lovelock, director general of FAST, said: "It is essential that the FAST board reflects all facets of the IT market in the organisation. Richard’s appointment demonstrates our ongoing recognition of the key role played by the channel in ensuring both the health of the software industry and the service offered to the end-user."
