The BOSS Federation has announced that quality assurance analysis of the product data submissions made to its new OPDEX service over the
past year has revealed that
48 per cent of products contained elements that required correction.
BOSS chief executive Keith Davies said: "This report shows just how widespread and pressing the need is for a solution to the problem of product data errors. OPDEX is both necessary and effective and this latest finding must surely arouse concern among resellers over suppliers that are not yet participating in the service."
• Ron Wotherspoon has stepped down as vice chairman of the BOSS Federation, to be replaced by Duncan Savage, sales and marketing director of Pentel.
The reshuffle also sees the appointment of James McCallum as treasurer, following the retirement of Jeremy Oxley.
Oxley is group finance director of OyezStraker Group.
