20 April 2006 – High Wycombe (UK): The BOSS Federation has announced the sad death of John Richford, the longest-serving committee member of the Rubber Stamp Manufacturers Guild, on 16 April.
Richford joined his uncle’s company, Richfords, as works manager in 1946 and saw the company through the post war years of shortages of raw materials and power cuts.
He was later appointed as managing director and guided the firm through its expansion over the last 35 years, then joined the Rubber Stamp Manufacturers Guild where he remained a committee member for many years until his semi-retirement.
