BIFMA reports February recovery



4 April 2007 — Grand Rapids (MI): According to the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturers Association (BIFMA), US office furniture orders rose by 14 percent in February, after falling in January for the first time since 2004.


According to BIFMA, February orders totalled $930 million, up from $740 million in January.


Shipments rose 4 percent in the month and the industry’s backlog of unfilled orders stood at $1.28 billion.
