10 July 2007 — London (UK): BIC is set to launch an online BIC Kids School Club, dedicated to teachers and staff in nurseries and primary schools.
The website will primarily be used as a communication tool, aiming to inform teachers about the BIC Kids Colouring range, as well as offering advice and information about special offers and where to purchase the products.
A direct marketing campaign will be used to target 25,000 nurseries and primary schools, driving school staff to the BIC Kids School Club website where they will be able to register their details.
Every school that registers on the website will be in with the chance of winning £500 worth of colouring products for their school by simply entering into a draw.
Emma Lawley, BIC’s marketing manager said: "The BIC Kids School Club is a key move for us. BIC Kids is a huge and developing range that offers huge benefits to the educational sector. It is important that teachers and staff at schools and nurseries are made aware of these benefits and the new website aims to do just that.
"The marketing campaign will target a large number of nurseries and primary schools, which will encourage the staff to visit the website, especially as they could win £500 worth of colouring products for doing so! It is also a great way for us to support our distributors of the BIC kids range and help drive incremental sales for them."
The BIC Kids range includes colouring crayons, pencils, felt pens, glue, whiteboard markers and activity kits. The range is available from most wholesalers, office suppliers and educational suppliers.
