Bic sales up 24 per cent for 2005


31 January 2006 – Paris (FRA): BIC has reported strong performance in 2005, maintaining its position as the number one brand by volume in the writing, marking and correction market.
Despite the market experiencing a drop in value of 8.1 per cent, BIC increased its market share from 13.4 per cent to 14.3 per cent.
BIC retail sales in 2005 rose 24.1 per cent in volume.
The company remained the number one manufacturer in the ball pen market with a 38.9 per cent volume share.
