Bic Group has reported strong performance in 2005, maintaining its position as the number one brand by volume in the writing, marking and correction market.
Net sales for the year were 11.38 billion ($1.67 billion), compared to 11.26 billion in 2004. Stationery sales rose 3.9 per cent on a comparative basis to 1718.3 million.
Despite the market experiencing a drop in value of -8.1 per cent, the company increased its market share from 13.4 per cent to 14.3 per cent. Sales rose by 21 per cent in volume.
