10 February 2006 – Minneapolis (MN): Best Buy has raised its Q4 outlook on strong sales.
For the quarter ending 25 February, which includes the bulk of the holiday shopping season, Best Buy projects an EPS of $1.25 to $1.30. It had previously forecast a high-end EPS of $1.06 to $1.16.
The retailer forecasts Q4 comp sales of 6 – 7 per cent, well ahead of its initial forecast of 3 – 5 per cent.
