Best Buy appointment to boost female custom

19 July 2007 — Minneapolis (MN): Best Buy has announced the promotion of Julie Gilbert to the role of senior VP.

In her expanded role, Gilbert will oversee the company’s strategy to increase its market share with female consumers, a group that controls an estimated $68 billion of the US consumer electronics market.

 

She will continue to lead retail training and leadership development, and maintains her role as head of the award-winning women’s leadership forum (WOLF), an innovation engine and employee resource group.
