4 July 2005 – St Paul (MN): 3M Post-It Notes and the City of Hope cancer research centre have received a Cause Marketing Halo award.
The company’s "Sticking up for breast cancer research" campaign received a Silver Cause Marketing Halo Award for best health-related campaign. 3M introduced Post-It Super Sticky Notes imprinted with the breast cancer awareness logo of pink ribbons in 2004 and donated a portion of its sales to City of Hope.
3M also helped to increase awareness of the disease by creating the world’s largest pink ribbon made entirely of 75,000 Post-It notes in Times Square.
The company raised $300,000 for Californian charity, Duarte.
