25 January 2005 – Pasadena (CA): Avery Dennison has posted a 41 per cent jump in profit for its Q4, largely thanks to an increase in orders from major clients in the office and consumer products segment near the year-end.
Net income rose to $83.6 million, or EPS of $0.83, up from $59.3 million, or EPS of $0.59, in the year-ago quarter.
Sales for the quarter were up 17 per cent to $1.43 billion, from $1.23 billion in 2003’s Q4.
The company expects sales to grow by 8-10 per cent in Q1, it has disclosed.
