Australian OP dinner a triumph

28 October 2005 – Sydney (AUS): The Australian office products industry charity dinner, held on Tuesday this week, has been lauded as a great success.

The event, which took place at The Malaya restaurant in Sydney, raised A$3,388 ($2,483) for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and was attended by 100 dignitaries in the industry.

The dinner featured a keynote "State of the Industry" speech by OPI‘s CEO Steve Hilleard that addressed a number of topics, including globalisation and consolidation, the future for independent dealers, and the prospects for western vendors against a backdrop of a surge in private label.

The dinner will take place at the same time next year, and organisers hope it will be an annual event.
