Two former sales executives of regional wholesaler O’Henry, which was recently taken over by SP Richards, are to form the heart of a new southeast sales division at ActionEmco. Claudia Miller and Curt Williams have a combined sales experience of 60 years in servicing the independent dealer community in the southeast of the US. They will report to Karl Collins who has been promoted to the position of Regional Sales Manager for the southeast as ActionEmco looks to fill the void created by the sale of O’Henry. FedEx Kinko’s has said that acting CEO Brian Philips is to assume the role on a permanent basis. Philipps has been with FedEx since 1993. Memphis (TN)

SP Richards has announced that Kimberly Gray has been promoted to VP of Sales. Gray, who was previously Director of Sales, has been with SP Richards for two years and in her new role she will be responsible for managing relationships with a number of national accounts. Smyrna (GA)

Acco Brands has named Denny Chandler to the newly created position of President of Global Market Development and Trading Companies. Chandler will have responsibility for the indirect sales and marketing channel for all of the company’s businesses on a worldwide basis. Pentel of America’s Tim Fallihee is to be presented with the Office Products Wholesalers Association’s (OPWA) 2008 leadership award. Fallihee will receive the award, the association’s highest, at the President’s Dinner which takes place during the 2008 Office Products Executive Summit in September. Baltimore (MD)

Swedish stapler manufacturer Isaberg Rapid has named Kenneth Lundhal as its new president. 40-year-old Lundahl joins Rapid from another Swedish company, Thule, the maker of roof boxes for cars. Hestra (SWE)

European wholesaler Spicers has announced that Colin Learmouth has taken up the post of European Purchasing Director for its traditional office products segment. Learmouth has been with Spicers since 2003, most recently as Merchandising Director in the UK. European purchasing managers Peter Kaemer and Manu Bekaert will report directly to Learmouth. Kaemer will be responsible for the facilities management, labels, and conference and presentation categories, whilst Bekaert will be responsible for writing instruments, desktop accessories, books and pads and office sundries. Anthony Haworth replaces current Director of EOS Purchasing, Scott Walker, who will takeover Learmouth’s role for traditional office products. Meanwhile, at its UK operations, Spicers has named Stuart Mills to the new post of head of EOS. Mills brings experience of both the reseller and distribution channels to the job and joins Spicers from EOS distributor ACI Adam where he was Senior Account Manager. Sawston (UK)

Bruce Robinson has stepped down from his position as CEO of ISA Retail and Supplies Team, the IT retail supply and direct sales companies that were created out of the Kingfield Heath and ISA merger last year. Richard Martin, Group CEO told OPI: "Bruce has stepped aside from any day-to-day management involvement but remains an investor in the business. Individual executive teams have always been and will continue to be responsible for managing their own businesses." Sheffield (UK)

Antalis UK has announced that Rob Chandler has been appointed as Product Manager for office products. Chandler has been with Antalis for 12 years, most recently as Market Development Manager. Reporting to Marketing Director, James Jarvis, Chandler will be responsible for the entire portfolio of office papers and stationery products. He takes over from Matthew Botfield who has been named as Environment Manager for Antalis UK. Coalville (UK)

Kingfield Heath/ISA Wholesale has named two regional directors to replace Gordon Profit who left the company at the beginning of this month. Profit’s old position of regional director for the north, Scotland and the Midlands has been split in two, with Martin Weedall named as Regional Director for the north and Scotland, while the Midlands goes to Simon Wallis. German adhesives manufacturer tesa has said that company veteran Thomas Schlegel will take over as its new CEO in October. Schlegel, who has been with tesa since 1982, will succeed Dieter Steinmeyer who is to retire. Hamburg (GER)

HSM has named Ronny Voigt as Business Development Manager for its Russian and CIS markets. Voigt joined HSM in April and his main responsibilities will be customer care and acquisition, market development and reporting. Salem (GER)

Herlitz has announced that Marcus Peters has assumed the role of Sales Director of Specialised International Trade. Peters took up his new responsibilities on 1 May and will also continue as head of sales for the international B2B sales channels. Berlin (GER)

Troubled toy and stationery supplier Mega Brands has named Tony Bazan as its new COO. Bazan joins rom Jakks Pacific where he was VP for global manufacturing and sourcing. Mega Brands has been hit recently by recalls on Chinese-made toys and is also reported to be looking to sell off its stationery business to reduce its debts. Montreal (CAN)
