Timely reminder

Dear editor,
I distributed the Sales Superstar article from the March 2008 OPI issue to my entire sales team at our recent sales meeting. With the current challenges we face from the power channel competitors as well as the sagging economy, this article was both timely and meaningful. The timeless themes of teamwork, relationships, warm leads through referrals, listening and organisational skills are all key components of success in sales yesterday and today.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jim DeCenso in 1990 when he was launching his career in office products. Thanks for reminding us of the basic sales principles that can help make us successful on the streets. Please extend my best wishes to Jim and the Midwest Office Supply team.
