OP industry veteran Michael Hibbert has joined the purchasing team of European Office Supplies Alliance (EOSA) in a consulting role.
He will work alongside and support Veronica Avanzini, recently appointed as EOSA’s head of international purchasing.
Hibbert has been working in the OP industry for 29 years, most recently as merchandising director of UK office supplier o2o, itself an EOSA member.
"I’m very pleased to work in my new task," said Hibbert. "I’m looking forward to being pro-active in this new endeavour, without being bound to a daily routine. Developing my own projects and producing tangible results passionately drives me to do the best for the EOSA team in this job. The timing is right and the situation is just perfect."
"Michael brings a great deal of knowledge and expertise to our team," stated Veronica Avanzini. "He has direct contacts, not only with leading manufacturers, but also has developed an extensive network of sources in Asia. His strength is not only in negotiating the best possible purchasing prices but also in managing complex international supply chains to ensure that the best purchasing conditions are achieved for all EOSA members, regardless of whether they are small or large companies.
"This further signifies the real and considerable advantages of membership in the alliance and confirms EOSA’s status as a solid, united force in the office supply market," she said.
EOSA recently received a boost when French supplier Fiducial Office Solutions joined the alliance, taking the combined sales of its members to almost €1 billion ($1.56 billion) and increasing its international presence to 16 countries.
