All change at Dixon Ticonderoga


1 April 2005 – Heathrow (FL): Chairman of Fabbrica Italiana Lapis ed Affini, which acquired Dixon Ticonderoga in December in a cash deal valued at $22.5 million, has been named chairman of the Dixon board of directors.

Fila’s CEO Massimo Candela has been elected vice chairman. In addition, Richard Asta, who was most recently Dixon’s EVP and CFO, has been named CEO of Dixon North America, and appointed to the board of directors of both Dixon North America and Dixon Latin America.

In further announcements, Donald Currie has been promoted to EVP of sales and marketing for North America and appointed to the Fila/Dixon global marketing committee; and Jose Martinez has been appointed Treasurer and VP of finance.
