14 June 2006 – Barnsley (UK): Advantia member Brook Office Supplies has acquired Doncaster Office Supplies.
Raymond Newton, who started Brook Office Supplies in 1975, said: "This acquisition is part of our expansion plan to improve our coverage in the South Yorkshire area. Doncaster Office was an ideal acquisition for us. We have known the former owner for many years and both companies are shareholders in dealer group Advantia Business Solutions Limited."
Doncaster Office Supplies will continue to operate under this name for the foreseeable future. However, as soon as practical some back office functions will be moved to Barnsley.
