28 April 2006– Taipei (TWN): Acer, the world’s fourth-largest PC manufacturer, has reported an 87 per cent rise in Q1 profit to T$4.02 billion ($126 million), up from T$2.15 billion last year, thanks to strong PC demand in Asia and North America.
Consolidated revenue rose 26 per cent to T$83 billion from T$65.71 billion a year earlier.
