6 November 2006 — Lincolnshire (IL): ACCO Brands has announced realignment plans that will result in cost savings of $60 million by 2009, $20 million more than originally estimated.
The company will create a Document Finishing Group by combining document communications activities from three of its current business segments.
A separate Commercial Laminating Solutions Group will be created from the Commercial – Industrial and Print Finishing Group.
The Office Products Group is to focus on three consumer categories; workspace, tools as well as Visual Communication and Storage and Organisation. The new group will develop new commercial and digital printing products.
The new segments will be effective from 1 January.
