550 jobs to go in IM restructure


11 April 2005 – Santa Ana (CA): Ingram Micro (IM) is cutting some 550 jobs as part of a restructuring and consolidation process.

The company reported today that it is to outsource transaction-orientated service and support functions including selected North America positions in finance and shared services, customer service, and other areas.

Said IM North America president Keith Bradley: "This plan supports our key business objectives and helps us deliver our expected operating income targets within the third quarter of 2005."
