3M to acquire SPSL

18 July 2006 — Bracknell (UK): 3M is to acquire Manchester-based Security Printing and Systems Limited (SPSL) from Berlin-based Authentos. 
 
SPSL is a leading producer of passports and secure cards and has supplied passports to the UK government for over 40 years. Mike Delkoski, VP of 3M’s security systems division, said: "3M’s global presence, technical innovation and strong customer focus in the secure document marketplace will expand SPSL’s global reach."
 
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
