What is your favourite book, and why? It’s always the one I’m just reading, which is currently "Soie" (Silk) by Alessandro Barrico.
What was the first record you bought? I guess Appetite For Destruction by Guns N’ Roses.
What is your ideal night out? One that isn’t prepared but is fully improvised, that is always the best night out!
If you could invite two people for dinner, who would they be, and why would you invite them? Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky…just for that after dinner cigar…
What is your favourite movie, and why? Must be 2001: A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick because I’m still trying to figure out what that ending was all about!
What sports teams do you support? All teams as long as they’re French! But I have to say I love the Brazilian football team too.
What is your favourite food and drink? Very simple: A fresh and crusty baguette with slices of Parma ham, mozzarella, two leaves of fresh Basil and olive oil/garlic topping. Along with a glass of St-Esthèphe.
What is your favourite holiday destination? Definitely Barcelona because it’s just an amazing city whether you stay there for a week or just for a weekend and you can go skiing and bathing in the ocean on the same day. There’s not many cities like that in the world.
If you could build your house anywhere, where would it be? Right now I’d say somewhere in California. Never been there but it just triggers my imagination…
What do you begrudge spending money on? If the money is there to be spent, don’t be tight!
Have you ever broken the law? Yes, but never been caught!
What makes you happy? Happiness is a warm gun.
What makes you angry? Anger is a feeling I try to avoid at all times, life is too short to feel angry.
What pets do you have? Unfortunately, none.
If you could be a superhero, what superpower would you choose to have and why? Power of ubiquity… that would get the job done!
What was your biggest mistake in life? I have no regrets, but I should have gotten my band signed to this record company when the opportunity was there, but we refused, saying the deal wasn’t good enough!
What was your luckiest break? Being able to start my career in an innovative company like Tarifold.
What is your best piece of advice? What matters is not where you want to get to, it’s how you get there: it’s the journey, not the destination.
Which industry figure do you most admire? Eric Bigeard for his style, humour and success.
If you weren’t doing your present job, what job would you be doing? Probably playing with my band at Madison Square Garden, but you’ve got to make some choices in life.
If you could be God for the day, what miracle would you perform? Erase every Tarifold competitor!
Can money buy happiness? It can buy the smell, the taste and the shape of it, but that’s about it.
What has been the best moment in your career? Getting all the awards for the t-aromatic office fragrances.
What has been the worst moment in your career? Getting all the awards for the t-aromatic, because I wondered what we would come up with next!
What was your most embarrassing industry-related experience? Standing in an elevator with only Eric Bigeard and getting all red in the face when he called me by my first name…
