This year we’ve changed the way we are publishing our Top 100 list of top executives from the leading resellers, wholesalers and dealer groups of the office products industry. Instead of printing all the profiles in the magazine, we have chosen to feature new faces and those who represent businesses that are doing things a bit differently in our print edition. All other profiles are published here on opi.net, which gives us the benefit of linking each entry with other news, features and even videos that we have been creating over the past year. Hopefully you’ll agree that this adds more depth to the list.
You will notice some new faces and companies. Bunzl, Grainger and Amazon are just a few of the businesses that are making inroads in the industry, and as their market share and influence grows it seems fair to include them in our hall of fame. The industry is continuously evolving, and so many of you report that jan/san or facilities management in particular are making a crucial difference to your bottom line that we feel they have become our industry too.
Turning back to our core arena, it has been as tricky as ever to decide who should feature. There are many influential companies and organisations, more than we have space to include. Take UK dealer groups, for example. There are at least nine groups, each one with a different offering, so we have taken a more analytical approach to selection by asking their industry peers to nominate which they see as the most influential.
This is your list, however, so take a look through and please do let us know if we have missed any person or company out, and who is making the most impact in your market.
