Background information
2021: Maria Zesch succeeds Felix Zimmermann who left in May, having spent nearly 20 years at the company, more than half that time as CEO.
Zesch previously served as member of the board for B2B & Digitalization at Magenta Telekom, an Austrian internet and mobile operator. She has held various management positions within Deutsche Telekom Group since 2008. Prior to that, she worked at consultancy firm AT Kearney and media company ORF.
Florian Funck, Chairman of TAKKT’s Supervisory Board, said: “With her ample digital and B2B know-how, her merger and transformation expertise and more than 20 years of management experience in international companies, she is the right person to realise further growth through digital transformation and a consistent customer-centric approach.”
With an increase in 2021 Q2 sales of 24.6%, TAKKT bounced back from last year’s disappointing second quarter results. This confirmed its forecast of significant positive growth rates after the expected slow start in the current fiscal year. Sales for the second quarter were around 2% below pre-pandemic 2019 levels.
