Background information
2022: In the summer of 2021, Staples Benelux was the last entity to be sold off as part of the Staples Solutions divestment programme when it was acquired by Standard Investment. By then, George Steur had already been in place as Managing Director for more than a year, having joined the wholesaler from books retailer Bruna.
Company initiatives implemented by Steur have included enhancing digital solutions, an online WorkMonitor tool to help customers better understand the needs of hybrid and remote employees, and developing a 3PL logistics solution.
