Background information
2021: Dan Fati is a new entry to this year’s Top 100 list and a very well-deserved one. At the helm of Romanian office supplies reseller Dacris, “making things happen” has been Fati’s motto over the past, pandemic-dominated year. This endeavour transcended many areas, including: keeping its workforce of 254 safe, motivated, trained and productive; sourcing, securing, marketing and distributing a wide range of COVID products; and upping its online capabilities to make its web store a go-to destination.
The company – among the top business supplies operators in the Romanian market – last October moved to a new head office and distribution facility on the outskirts of Bucharest. Financially speaking, Dacris ended 2020 on a par with 2019, posting revenues of €24 million ($29 million), with coronavirus-related products accounting for 20% of these sales.
He’s always been a progressive leader, willing to think outside the box and keen to invest both in his business and its staff. 2020 was the year when outstanding collaboration with all parts of the supply chain and compassion for his employees became more important than ever. Partially for this achievement, Fati was recognised with the Professional of the Year award at this year’s OPI European Office Products Awards.
