Background information
2021: Adam Joy is a new entry to this year’s Top 100 list, having been appointed as CEO of Australia’s dealer group Office Brands in June.
Joy succeeds Gavin Ward, who left the organisation last September. He was formerly CEO of the Australian Lottery and Newsagents’ Association, a tenure that was notable for a rebranding from the Australian Newsagents’ Federation, changing the relationship with suppliers to beneficial partnerships, acquiring four similar associations, and a heated battle with synthetic lotteries organisation Lottoland.
Joy brings with him a wealth of experience and a focus on providing a wide range of benefits to Office Brands’ 160 members and, importantly, value to shareholders. He describes the group – which has combined member revenues of AU$350 million (US$252 million) – as innovative and adept at offering high quality products and services to its constituents.
