22. MÄRZ 2005 – Midlothian (TX): Ennis is to close its plant in Edison, New Jersey, in a move to consolidate to other plants on the east coast, it has announced.
The consolidation comes as part of the company’s plans to reduce costs after acquiring Crabar/GBF in July 2004.
Workers at the Edison plant, for which no figure was given, will be offered positions at plants in Medfield, Massachusetts, and Chatham, Virginia, and other plants "to the extent they are available", said the company.
President/CEO Keith Walters said: "We want to assure customers that there will be no impact on the quality or delivery associated with this relocation of the business."
