Ink jet OEMs have introduced a wide variety of cartridge designs to better meet the requirements of their increasingly complex ink jet machines. As noted in the hardware section, there are ink jet cartridges with print heads built into the cartridge and simpler ink tanks that feed print heads designed to permanently reside in the printer. Some cartridges contain one ink, while others are designed to supply the printer with several inks....
