Categories
The European Office Products Awards are open to organisations of all sizes operating in Europe, not just those that are based in Europe.
We have worked to simplify the entry process and clarify the criteria to ensure that this event recognizes the very best that Europe has to offer. We accept entries and nominations for the following categories:
Online Initiative NEW CATEGORY!
In today’s business world the internet has become a key business tool. Only those organisations that truly embrace this technology and explore the far reaching possibilities on offer can create new business opportunities and reap the rewards.
Judges will be looking for evidence of web-based initiatives that maximise the potential of the internet and have delivered real results. This could be:
· New web sites and micro sites
· Use of Web 2.0 technology including user generated content
· Marketing campaigns (including viral) that have used the web to drive interest in new and interesting ways
· Search engine marketing either organic (SEO) or paid for (PPC)
· Unique on-line services, on-line ordering initiatives & web exclusive promotions
· Coordination of your offline and online presence to drive traffic to your site
· On-line ordering initiatives
Dealer Group of the Year
The winner of this award will be the dealer group that can best demonstrate clearly how it meets the needs of its members by providing the most comprehensive package of resources, products and services. Entrants should also show how they develop their portfolio to react to an ever-changing market and work to continuously add value to dealers.
Emerging Reseller of the Year sponsored by 
This award seeks to find those resellers that are building a name for themselves among the established power players or setting the standards in emerging markets. We are looking to find the trailblazers of tomorrow who can show:
· How their approach makes them stand out from rivals
· How high standards and levels of service enable them to be competitive
· That innovative strategies achieve real results
· Impressive growth and sales figures
Reseller of the Year sponsored by 
·This category is open to nominations
Nominate the reseller you feel is making a difference to our industry and showing true business innovation. Tell us why its performance stands out and how it has managed to set itself apart from the competition in the last 12 months.
Environmental Responsibility sponsored by 
Entrants should highlight the efforts and commitment they are making in this vital area of modern business by detailing:
· A clear environmental policy
· Product and/or process developments with real environmental benefits
· Evidence of a company-wide green culture
· Supplier audits / independent accreditation
· An ongoing commitment to continuous improvement
Marketing Initiative sponsored by 
This category is open to both manufacturers/vendors and resellers that can demonstrate the effectiveness and success of a specific marketing campaign. Judges are looking for:
· A comprehensive and well conceived campaign
· Innovative methods that were used to reach the target audience
· Examples of originality and creativity throughout
· Tangible evidence of a successful campaign
New Product Innovation
Innovation and new products are the life blood of the office products industry. Those companies that are leading the way in this vital area are eligible to win this prestigious award.
Judges will not only be looking for originality and innovation of the product but will also consider its practicality and application. In addition, the panel will need to see how successful the product has been in terms of sales revenue.
Please note that if your entry is successful, you will be asked to provide 2 samples of your product so it can be viewed by the judges at the panel meeting.
Vendor of the Year sponsored by 
Awards will be presented for two categories:
· Emerging Vendor
· Established Vendor
The winners of these awards will need to provide evidence of exceptional product development and innovation, as well as a commitment to high standards and excellent customer service. The vendor of the year will also have to show how its strategies have generated impressive business results throughout the last year.
Wholesaler/Distributor of the Year sponsored by 
This award recognises a dynamic wholesaler/distributor that can demonstrate how its unique approach and standard of services have achieved exceptional results over the last 12 months. The recipient of the award could be an established name or an emerging company that has gained recognition alongside larger competitors.
OPI Editor's Choice Award
· This category is open to nominations
Not every company fits neatly into the above criteria. The OP sector is vibrant with players who make a contribution to the success of our industry yet cannot be easily categorised and OPI wanted to recognise these companies or individuals. Either enter this category yourself or nominate a customer or supplier. The OPI team will be keeping their eyes open for any contenders as well.
Young Professional of the Year
· This category is open to nominations
You are invited to nominate the brightest young talent from your organisation to be recognised for the impact they have on growth, productivity and morale. This award seeks out outstanding executives who have the drive, ability and potential to influence the future of our industry.
Industry Achievement Award
· This category is open to nominations
This award seeks to recognise the achievement of a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of the office products industry. This inspirational individual may have been instrumental in the success of an organisation, or has helped shape office products in Europe through their dedication and commitment.
