Dundee (Scotland) 21 Nov 07. Medea International, the Scottish based printer consumables supplier, is setting a new “Green” standard with its new Inkrite NG inkjet printer cartridge. Medea have optimised eco-friendly construction and user friendliness, to deliver a truly green product that achieves high performance at low cost.
Medea together with strategic partner, G&G Ninestar set about creating the Next Generation (NG) in cartridge construction. The Inkrite NG’s performance is due to G&G Ninestar’s revolutionary pigment ink, EverBrite. At the recent EverBrite launch event, Yusuf Okhai, Managing Director of Medea, commented, “Our research shows that people who care about the environment want to take more responsibility by cutting CO2 emissions…want to use green or recycled products, without compromising on top performance”
EverBrite inks offer true user benefits in terms of high resistance to “fade” from ozone and UV, and bleed from smudging and highlighters – unique attributes. The inks offer “brilliance” of colour and ensure crisp definition no matter what quality of paper is used.
Okhai says “Aftermarket ink cartridges are poised to overtake OEM leaders in terms of product quality as well as value. We do not fit in with the perceived norm of inferior quality of aftermarket cartridges. We have created a unique “futuremarket” first…an ideal solution that meets the needs of the users, today and tomorrow.”
Inkrite NG’s compatible range for Epson are truly eco-friendly, they use recyclable materials and allow consumers to reuse half the cartridge over-and-over – only replacing internal sealed ink tanks. The upcoming remanufactured range for HP and Lexmark will optimise and build on the re-dispersible nature of the EverBrite ink and enable recycling of a cartridge more times than when using other manufacturers’ inks.
Medea believe that Inkrite NG is an unbeatable package both economically and ecologically. The ability to at least match the OEM in print quality; to exceed, in terms of page yield (up to 3.5 times the pages); the optimised recyclability for the remanufactured range; replacement of ink tanks for the compatible range are all strong ingredients.
