Ortho Phthalates are the plasticizers used in PVC that release slowly but permanently from products and can be potentially harmful. These remain chemically unbound after manufacture and can release slowly into the surrounding atmosphere affecting air quality. The use of phthalates in PVC products is one reason that a number of re-sellers are moving away from promoting PVC products.

The range provides excellent floor protection & ergonomically movement advantages together with the improved indoor air quality achieved by removing the potentially harmful phthalates DIDP (Di-isodecyl-phthalate) contained in traditional PVC products.

Phthalates are already banned in the manufacture of a number of products and, increasingly, major re-sellers are actively addressing the issue and working with vendors to remove phthalates from products.

This new range maintains Floortex's high performance standards while removing 100% of the harmful DIDP Phthalates from the material compound.

By also eliminating the tin content, we have addressed the environmental and legislative pressures for heavy metals to be removed from the manufacturing of plastic product.

The range is also BPA free and 100% recyclable.

The range also includes up to 25% recycled material and is manufactured utilising approximately 30% renewable energy to further enhance its green credentials.
