OfficeMax's A Day Made Better

OfficeMax is donating $1 million in classroom supplies to teachers throughout the US as part of its annual surprise events held on 4 October.

This marks the fifth anniversary of the  'A Day Made Better' initiative, which sees OfficeMax donate $1,000 worth of school supplies to 1,000 teachers throughout the US.

OfficeMax works with a non-profit partner, Adopt-A-Classroom, to identify recipient schools in need across the country.

Principals at the schools then nominate a teacher who they believe is passionate, dedicated and innovative in the classroom.

This year OfficeMax is also offering local communities the chance to get involved in the initiative.

Starting at the beginning of October people can donate school supplies at OfficeMax stores nationwide. These will then be distributed to local schools on 4 October. A variety of ready-made donation gift boxes are also available online at the Adopt-A-Classroom website.
